What is that unwelcome companion following us around town and into work, weighing down the atmosphere and everything in it? It fills the minds and lungs of everyone it touches until ugly and angry things explode from our lips. Cloudy minds dripping down into darkness. It feasts on the ability to direct blame toward the moon and the ocean currents; black talons settle on the funny bones of the faithless as they laugh at what they cannot understand.
Where hides the light that we so long to see?
And Elisha prayed, “O lord, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Stand tall, brothers and sisters. Do not fear the storm. We are always in the presence of victory.
